The Elders Say:
“Citizens Must Step Up Pressure on Their Leaders”
Help IFPB Do That Today!
Make a Difference in Just a Few Minutes
Danielle Bäck,
a student at Arizona State University has this to say about her summer 2010 IFPB delegation experience:
“The IFPB delegation has been the most life-changing journey of my life. In addition to the advocacy training, the meetings with local human rights organizations, and the friendships formed with the Israelis and Palestinians we met, the delegation altered me as a person."
The Elders, an international group of human rights leaders and luminaries including Jimmy Carter, Desmond Tutu, Mary Robinson and Kofi Annan, recently urged citizens around the world to increase pressure on their leaders to renew efforts for peace in Israel/Palestine.
For many years, Interfaith Peace-Builders has been doing exactly that!
This year was no different, and IFPB delegates have been busy! Delegates were featured in over 100 news articles and interviews, gave hundreds of presentations, helped plan conferences, informed elected officials about the issues, published books, and led organizing initiatives in more than 30 states!
The efforts of these delegates is an extension of their journey with Interfaith Peace-Builders. And only you, our friends, can guarantee that this important work continues.
Your support makes it possible for Interfaith Peace-Builders to be much more than just another delegation program.
As IFPB builds on a successful year we focus on growth. Your help is vital to:
- Replace retiring staff and add capacity for our movement;
- Provide new scholarships for youth and students joining our summer delegations;
- Organize the African Heritage Delegation;
- Lead the third annual Grassroots Advocacy Training and Lobby Day; and more.
You can read more about each of these initiatives in our recent newsletter.
Your donation to IFPB strengthens the movement by bringing more people to the front and giving them the support they need to be successful.
Watch, Listen and Read!
