GAT Registrants are responsible for their own transportation to Washington DC and for arranging their own lodging.

If you are flying to DC, be aware that National Airport (DCA) is significantly more convenient via public transportation than either Dulles International Airport (IAD) or Baltimore Washington Airport (BWI). Both Dulles and Baltimore airports do have public transportation options, but they are on the outskirts of the DC metropolitan area and require more travel time to and from flights.

PARKING:
Both event locations have limited street parking available. Participants are encouraged to take the Washington DC Metro to all events, and/or park and metro to the locations. The closest DC Metro parking lots to Cesar Chavez School are at Minnesota Avenue Station (Orange Line) or Capitol Heights Station (Blue Line). DC Metro Station parking lots are free on weekends.



Conference-Rate Hotel: Holiday Inn National Airport/Crystal City

PLEASE RESERVE BY FEBRUARY 25: We have negotiated a conference-rate with the Holiday Inn National Airport in Crystal City, Virginia (just outside DC). The hotel operates a shuttle service to the Crystal City Metrorail station which will take you into DC in just a few minutes (click here for directions via metro). 

The rate of $130 per night is for up to 2 people and includes one hot breakfast ($15 for additional person), unlimited in room internet access, shuttle service to Ronald Reagan National Airport and to the Crystal City Metro.
